I decided to only stick to the "mantels" for this Holiday and not let is carry over into the rest of the house...I am being lazy!
Both mantels were pretty quick to throw together....
I knew I wanted some kind of love quote and what better than a simple "I love you"?
All I did for this was print some letters and stick them with tape to a couple pieces of scrapbook paper.
The heart is made from a stack of paint sample chips I confiscated from Walmart and Lowes ;-)
The frames all came from Dollar Tree, I just spray painted them white. Easy peasy!
My brothers girlfriend made me this vase for Christmas in her glass blowing class! How cool is that? I love it and wanted to display it ASAP so I used some more of the paint chips and just cut out a bunch of hearts and taped them onto some twigs and things that also came from Dollar Tree. Holla!
Here's a peek at my stash..HA!
I also used a bunch of them for the other mantel in the "Frame Heart Art" project I created. (That's the official title there folks!)
I just taped twine in rows across the back of a white frame and then taped the hearts to the twine. So simple but I think it's adorable!
The LOVE pieces are actually tile piece that I bought for something like .15 cents each on clearance at lowes. They were in my kitchen being used as coasters.
All I did was wrap them in scrap fabric and then I drew and colored in my letters with red and black sharpies. I was not going for perfect here, just sayin'.
The rest of the decorations were just Dollar Tree candy hearts and stickers that I put into empty bottles and vases I had already.
I think the overall effect is totally cute and all about the looove we have up in here! :)
Hope y'all had a great weekend!! - Kris
